About Us
The Saskatoon Quilters’ Guild (SQG) gathers to:

Contribute to the knowledge and promotion of quilts and quilting in the community,

Host trunk shows, workshops, or classes for members,
-
Support quilting activities and socializing for their members,
-
Inspire quilters by sharing quilting techniques, ideas, methods, and textiles.
Meetings
We are committed to hosting engaging hybrid meetings and workshops where attendees can join in person or online via Zoom.
Guild meetings or workshops/presentations are held monthly from September to June.
A meeting agenda usually includes the introduction of new members and guests, announcements, and then an activity or presentation followed by a members’ Show and Tell.
On-line presentations or workshops are planned for the winter months so we can gather virtually from the warmth of our homes. Separate registration and fees may be required. Members are given first chance to register and if there is space, registration will open to non-members.
Library
The SQG library contains approximately 500 books and is available for browsing in person prior to guild meetings.

Newsletter
Members are kept updated with the guild newsletter “Prairie Points” which is emailed monthly to members.
Bulletins provide timely reminders and updates.
Presentations / Workshops
The SQG brings in engaging presenters for trunk shows and workshops to inspire and expand members' knowledge and skills.
Guilder's Goodies and Challenges
Guilder's Goodies are educational opportunities taught by a guild member. These are a chance for members to get together and sew and learn a new technique. These information sessions are for SQG members only and are free of charge.
Challenges are often arranged for guild members to encourage creativity, development of new skills and fun.
SQG Scholarship
SQG sponsors an annual $500 scholarship for members which encourages them to increase their quilting knowledge and skills.
Scholarship winners are invited to share their experience with fellow guild members.
SQG Achievement Award
This award honours those members who have exhibited significant, long-term dedication and advancement to the art of quilting and to our guild.
