Our newsletter is called “Prairie Points”.
It is published in August, November, January, February and May.
Include Your Ads and Articles in the Newsletter
The newsletter input deadline is approximately two weeks before the publishing date.
2019-2020 Input Deadlines:
2019: Aug 09 • Nov 01
2020: Jan 24 • April 24 • early-Aug. (date tbd)
We would like to have your input in the newsletter. Are there items that you would like to see in the newsletter: quilting app’s that you use; blogs that you follow; tutorial write-up or links to tutorials; articles, etc.
If you are sending in an article or tutorial that was written by someone else, please contact the author for permission to use the article so that we do not infringe on their copyright.
Newsletter Advertising Policy
1. Advertising will appear in Prairie Points
The print copy of Prairie Points is the only method outside of guild meetings to advertise businesses and events to our members who do not have internet access.
2. Issues of Prairie Points for the previous 2 years will be available on the website.
3. Advertising in Prairie Points:
Cost of business/commercial ads are:
$15 – maximum 2.5” x 3.5”
$25 – up to quarter of a page
No charge for sister guilds, affiliated organizations, and not-for-profit sewing and fabric art groups.
4. Advertising on the website
Commercial advertisers may request to advertise classes, sales, and events as a link on the appropriate section of the website as well as in Prairie Points. Images, logos etc that appear in the print ad will not be reproduced on the website. There is a charge for links on the website if you have not purchased an ad in the newsletter.
Sister guilds, affiliated organizations and not-for-profit sewing and fabric art groups will have their classes and events advertised provided they supply an electronic copy of the ad or a link to information available on-line. Images, logos, etc will be reproduced on the website at the discretion of the webmaster, considering any recommendation from executive members.
Advertising on the website of events held during the summer months that do not appear in the last issue of the newsletter will be at the discretion of the webmaster.

In July each year, a letter is sent to a list of prospective advertisers (by email unless we do not have an email address in which case it is sent by regular mail). If you would like to be on this list, please contact us by either of the above methods.
